Hyundai Recalls
Safety is our top priority
Your safety is a top priority for Hyundai Canada! Your Hyundai was meticulously designed for exceptional performance, quality, and dependability. Hyundai Canada upholds rigorous standards by conducting period quality checks on various components of their vehicles. While performing these checks, if any part is found to pose a safety risk or does not meet vehicle safety standards, Hyundai will issue a recall immediately.
Find out if your model has a recall notice
If you’ve recently purchased a Hyundai and are a registered Hyundai owner, you will receive recall notices in the mail from Hyundai Canada. It will outline the recall issue, what needs to be done to fix the problem, and what your next steps should be.
Recalls are always important to have addressed right away and are free of charge to have fixed. Book an appointment with our team at Northstar Hyundai as soon as you find out about a recall. Our team only uses Hyundai Genuine Parts and will get you back on the road safely and as soon as possible.
How can I check if there are any active recalls on my vehicle?
Whether you have a new Hyundai or have purchased a certified pre-owned Hyundai, you can check to see if there are any active recalls by using the VIN lookup on Hyundai Canada. To do this, you will need to have your 17-digit VIN number handy. Once you’ve entered your VIN a list of any active recalls will display. If you’re not sure where to find your VIN or would like any assistance, contact our team at Northstar Hyundai and we would be happy to help!
Where is the VIN located?
Your vehicle's VIN can be located in two different places in the vehicle, on the VIN plate and on the driver-side doorframe label. The VIN plate is located on the driver’s side of the dashboard, just beneath the windshield. Additionally, you can find your VIN on any paperwork related to the purchase, registration, or insurance of your vehicle.
